Early Spring and Meet the Gal who Makes it Happen [video & pictures included]

Updated: Dec 30, 2020

We aren't avid mushroom hunters, but these popped up under an old apple tree in our front yard! They were delicious and paired well with our ground lamb tacos!

We hope you were able to enjoy the warm weather a week ago, more is to come! Here is a short YouTube video that that shows some of what early spring has looked like on the Legan/Tharp farm. We hope to get some seed in the ground this week, weather pending as always.

We are thankful for all of the purchases that have been made in the last several weeks! It has been a bit of a whirlwind for us, but we are thankful for this opportunity to provide meat from our families' farms to your families' tables. It is our hope that you have been satisfied with your meat; we would love to hear your feedback! We appreciate the trust you put in our products that come directly from our farm. These are crazy times, and we hope to provide some certainty to you as you look for your family's protein needs.

If you haven't checked out our website in a while, you will see that within the last week we have restocked many of our pork and beef products, and still have plenty of lamb and chicken. Just let us know how we may provide for you and your family. Pickup options available at our Family's Farm on State Road 240 east of Greencastle, and the Brock's Family Farm on US Highway 40 west of Stilesville. As a continued protection for you and us during this Covid-19 outbreak, we are placing all meat in coolers for pickup. Give us a 2 hour time frame you plan to pick up, and we will make sure its ready for you!

Meet the gal who makes it happen!

Many of you have had the please to talk to and/or meet Cathy Crosby. Cathy and her husband Todd are long time Putnam County residents. She has worked at the Legan/Tharp farm for several years as an office manager, keeping us all on track. Since we began our local meat endeavors, Cathy has played a big part. She tracks our invoicing, inventories, and ensures our orders are fulfilled. As many of you have found out she is a pleasure to work with, and we are thankful she is on our team! Cathy is pictured below with her husband Todd and son Zane at his graduation from Purdue University last May.

Take care!
