Mid June Reflections

Updated: Dec 30, 2020

Greetings from our farm! I love this time of year. Growing green surrounds our landscape, its t-shirt weather, and you can almost watch the corn grow daily.

We generally stay busy year round with our livestock, but last week the weather was about perfect after a long rainy spell. On came corn and soybean planting, spraying, side dressing, replanting, and hay making all at once...we were exhausted by the end of the week to say the least! But we finished planting (and replanting) and are ever so grateful for all of the help our team gave us to accomplish these timely tasks.

We are fortunate to enjoy working side by side as a family nearly everyday. But family businesses can be challenging. We work hard to recognize what hat we are to wear at any given time. On any given day I may wear the hat of business owner, wife, animal caretaker, mother, team lead, grunt laborer, daughter, CFO, counselor, granddaughter, tractor driver, employee. But moments like these that I captured last week...well I think these pictures can describe it better than I. 💚

We hope you are having a great summer! Please remember us for all of your beef, pork, chicken and lamb needs.

My best,

Beth Tharp
