Greetings from the farm!
We hope you are doing well as we round out the month of January.
During this time of year, our family eats A LOT of soup. Soup options are endless. I like to make quick fix soups that are nutritious, filling and hydrating. Usually this involved combining a variety of meat for protein, and plenty of veggies for added fiber and nutrients.
As we enter our last month of winter, I wanted to share with you several options for you to consider when making your nutritious, homemade soups. I would love for you to share your ideas with us also!
For starters, I always keep nutritious Bone Broth on hand. It's super easy to make and adds amino acids and other great nutrients to your soup or other recipes. Simply place our Pork Neck Bones in a pot with ample water, a carrot stick, celery, and onion. Simmer for 6-8 hours and strain. This can be stored in the fridge or freezer until use; or create your favorite soup right away!
Ham and Beans anyone?! Our Smoked Ham Hocks are a perfect, inexpensive way to whip up this tasty dish!
Hearty Sausage Potato Soup is great for a chilly day. Our Sausage Links or Ground Sausage are ideal for this combo!
And don't forget our favorite; Chili! Ground Beef, Ground Pork, Sausage, or Ground Lamb all make an ideal chili.

My Best,
